This oil can is a blast from my childhood. I love it. It's very thick and solid. After getting a new fridge with no oil drawer, we had to leave our plastic oil tray open on one of the fridge shelves and I took my hand out of the fridge with butter on it more than once. I hope so anyway. I would have paid more for an American but couldn't find one. Anyway it was very well wrapped and packaged in styrofoam. And now it's a matter of re-educating yourself, removing it more carefully, because it's glass. That's the hard part, you have to be more thoughtful and careful when taking it out of the fridge because the fridge shelves are also glass, but I think this just becomes a conscious practice. It is wide and perfectly fits two butter sticks or a double size Kerry butter stick. I think it would be perfect for a cream cheese bar too. Many uses.
