You can't go wrong with this printer

First of all I want to say that I've read a lot of reviews about 3D printers. Of course this is my first and many people might not care but I think this little wonder deserves 5 stars. Why? I think Creality finally got the right printer for the first timer. For those who bought this for the first time, I want to cover all the confusing details you need to know. When you unbox it, you first get a partially assembled basic printer. Then other parts, rods of various lengths, a bolt pack with all the tools you need for assembly. Don't go in the drawer and start pulling out the tools because they did that pretty well themselves. I took my time and started putting it together along with the sheet they provided. After a while I cheated, went online on youtube and watched the video they made for it. It made it a ton lighter. Since I took my time and didn't rush anything, it took about 1.5-2 hours. Why so long? Well, take your time and tighten everything up. Get an idea of how the mechanics work on it. Don't rush and don't worry because if you don't put on the belt or things required for the mechanics, you might regret it. You have now set up your printer, what next? Well, you have to make the bed up. Go back to YouTube. Learn how to start printing with Creality Ender 3D. He will show you how to level the bed. Basically I took a piece of paper and straightened the bed just like the guy in the video. I would recommend every time you put pressure on the platform causing it to flex on the springs or move the entire printer causing the platform to move, go ahead and readjust the platform. This setting only allows the nozzle to barely touch the bed at all corners and in the middle. It shouldn't be too low where it scratches the bed and it shouldn't be too high or the thread won't tie to the table. The best way I can describe it is like putting a thin frosting on a cake. You need to make sure the nozzle allows the filament flow to stick to the table. If you haven't bought the thread yet, buy it now. I ordered "CoLiDo 3D Printing Filament PETG 1.75mm X 1kg Black". If this isn't the brand you're looking for, be sure to read the reviews before buying 1.75mm filament. C'mon, go to YouTube, watch a short video that a lady took while uploading the thread. Basically you need to heat up the nozzle, press the button on the extruder and start feeding. Once you see a small amount of filament coming out of the nozzle, you're ready to print! Insert an SD card and print out the preloaded dog. This takes several hours, so take your time. When it's done, it's really beautiful! Now don't limit yourself to what you can do with this printer. I've already ordered a glass platform, different filament colors, an aluminum extruder, etc. The next thing I want to try is printing with ABS. Haven't done it yet but look forward to printing with it.
