Review on 🔊 BOSS Audio MGR350B Marine Gauge Receiver - Bluetooth, Digital Media MP3 Player, Weatherproof, USB Port, AM FM Radio - Black, Small/Medium Size by Nick Henning

Well I'm not a fan of reviews but this time I wanted to write something about this radio. Received it very quickly and since I couldn't install it right away I thought I'd test it at home using the speaker box I had and an external power supply. The speakers used in this test included 2 x 350w Pioneer 6x9 4-way speakers and a power supply that supplied 13.8v at 22 amps (it sure doesn't draw that much current). Well, let me tell you that this little radio is very good at moving the speakers and it's loud. I measured the SPL at 3ft with a white noise file and it was 88dB, when I placed the audio track at the top it was 90dB at 3ft. For me, this power is more than enough. Devices now heat up in a very short time if you push them to maximum volume and with the back being fully sealed and the lid being plastic I'm hoping overheating won't be an issue. The operation is very simple and the BT pairing is as simple as possible. I hope to get it installed on the boat soon enough and if it works just as well at home I'm sure it's a winner.
