Synthetic filter material, well thought out silicone anti-leak check valve and very durable housing. This is a premium product, recommended for those who go into detail. My only complaint, which is not limited to Puralator, is that it comes unwrapped in a fragile cardboard box which is very easy to open and not seal. Mobile1 filters are delivered in the same way. Considering it's a filter, why not spend an extra 5 cents to have it sealed in at the factory to keep it free of contaminants and give the end user some peace of mind? Packaging aside, this is a very well thought out filter. , possibly recycled, a product from a trusted manufacturer.
