I chose these LEDs because I needed a battery powered RGB lighting option for movies and music videos. They are very affordable so I took a chance. Was pleasantly surprised. These things are small and light. They come with AC power supplies and even aluminum stands. The build quality exceeds what you would expect from a flashlight at this price point. THEN you can add an extra Sony NPF battery and everything will be DC powered. Fiction! I haven't had a chance to use them on set yet, but I quickly tried them out with my assistant in the studio. These allow you to create an awesome little portrait setup with two lights. I suggest putting part of the diffuser on top of the main light (see my examples. One with diffuser and one without). I've included a few frames from BTS so you can see I'm actually using these lights in my examples. I love the built in special effects they have and look forward to using them on sets in the near future. These things are worth a modest investment.
