These masks are still made from durable materials that are hard to find in masks these days. They are indeed smaller and I would recommend buying the X-Large if you have a horse with a "larger" but still "medium" head. These masks are strong, hold up well to grazing life, and stay put! You also can't beat the price of a mask this durable.
