I hate rough nails. For example, get out of bed and file your nail if there are rough edges. I prefer the lightest grit blocks, but I couldn't find them. These (100/120) are great for general purposes. It takes a whole day to file a false nail, but they work well with real nails. You can remove the length a bit, but you can also smooth out the edge. I would not use them over the nail bed unless I intend to rough up the bed. But these are great multipurpose blocks. You get a TON of it. They are linked together so you can keep several together if you want to create a block, but I separate and put a pair in my purse, a pair in all my bags and cases, my backpack, downstairs bathroom, upstairs bathroom , What ever. They last for at least a couple of uses. I also used them to sand down a wooden barrel. I think they would be useful in a shop or garage for a small amount of high grit sandpaper. I am satisfied with my purchase, the list describes it correctly. I also enjoyed getting full size bonus blocks. I also prefer blocks over hard sandpaper or glass, they are much softer to the touch.
