Tried it for the first time. The mop slid across the floor and the pads showed some removal of the dirt (I always wipe the Swiffer first). When the floor was "dry" my rubber soled slippers would actually suck and stick to the floor which was very alarming because it was really clean around me. here, from here and mopping floors. I actually panicked because my sponge mop was so badly rusted that I had to throw it away. What to do? How do I get it off the ground? I googled the info and found many others complaining about the sticky residue (couldn't find a plain old school cellulose sponge mop to buy online so I'm literally stuck) and haven't found any advice other than to wash my hands on my lap. No! So I just ordered the reusable microfiber towels that are made for the Swiffer machine. Much better reusable solution, so more sustainable. I have a container full plus 5/8ths of what I opened and I wouldn't give that stuff away to scare others. boo
