Completely covers my couches. Not see through at all. Underneath my couches are a dark grey. The fabric is soft and lint or pet hair doesn't get stuck to it.It is definitely a 2 person job to put on.The 2 cushion size fit my love seat nicely but I think the 3 cushion size could have been a little bigger, but it still worked. If you have a free standing couch not against a wall, the back wouldn't be all the way covered and it wouldn't look good. Both of my couches are against a wall so it doesn't matter. You can't see the back of the couch.This saved me money because I don't feel like I need new couches right away. I got a whole new look without spending thousands of dollars. I will definitely be buying new couches eventually but this is great for now.
