Review on πŸ”Œ Zamp Solar 30-Amp Battery Charge Controller with Monitoring and Protective Features for Enhanced Solar Charging by Mike Brumfield

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Keeps the No Bo trailer charged when camping. Still

I have seen this unit installed on my No Bo solar powered caravan. I pretty much copied what this person did and found it worked great, charging my 2 deep cycle batteries in a trailer (in parallel) in no time. Hooked it up to a 100 watt 12 volt panel that I was able to mount on a trailer roof rack. I only use the batteries to run the water pump and LED lights so the whole system has to do this to keep the batteries charged or when I park the trailer in the yard between rides. To update. I installed another panel in parallel and connected a LiFePo4 battery to reduce the weight of the tongue by 40 pounds compared to the Pb acid batteries I previously connected to the controller. It took some time for the controller to bring the battery up to full voltage. Easily switch from a wet battery to a LiFePo4 battery with the push of a button.
