Works as advertised

I chose this for my Winnebago View solar upgrade mainly because WINnebago uses it themselves for their solar option. It fits the space well, looks OEM and works well. I only have room for 3 panels of 100 watts at 8 amps each, so the 30 amp rating works well. And it's worth the cost. I also installed 3 PV circuit breakers in the roof junction box for easier isolation and easier maintenance.

Pros
  • Solar and wind power
Cons
  • Only available in black

Love solar energy if it worked

They are junk, I replaced the first one after about 6 rides and now the replacement is out after 4 rides. They just stopped charging while camping. This is the factory version of my 2014 Timber Ridge trailer. I replaced the batteries thinking that might be the problem but to no avail. This time I will try another brand controller, I like solar when it works.

Pros
  • Generators and portable power packs
Cons
  • Scarce manual

Keeps the No Bo trailer charged when camping. Still

I have seen this unit installed on my No Bo solar powered caravan. I pretty much copied what this person did and found it worked great, charging my 2 deep cycle batteries in a trailer (in parallel) in no time. Hooked it up to a 100 watt 12 volt panel that I was able to mount on a trailer roof rack. I only use the batteries to run the water pump and LED lights so the whole system has to do this to keep the batteries charged or when I park the trailer in the yard between rides. To update. I…

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen
