Installation on the first gen white Dualshock 4 was smooth and easy (although I have experience with changing sticks). High quality metal and rubber wand, Xbox One style grippy outer rim, feels good on short and long sticks, center dome wand is a little too smooth for my liking. They move smoothly within the controller and have full movement. The magnet holds the sticks very well, to the point where you can pick up the controller by grabbing both sticks. Maybe too good. The R2 and L2 triggers stopped responding at all and removing the sticks fixed them again. I've previously installed metal sticks in the Dualshock 4 so I knew this wasn't a problem and sitting very far from the board wasn't a short circuit. That leaves the magnets, they are supposed to activate and block the R2 and L2 trigger respectively and this is not an isolated case, many other people are having problems with their Xbox One and Dualshock 4 controllers after installation which is a shame. because apart from this problem, these sticks are of much higher quality than standard sticks. My only other thought is to try removing the magnets and adding a weaker one, but I have a feeling this will reduce the quality of locking these sticks have when seated.
