Review on πŸ’¨ Ingersoll Rand Composite Pneumatic Pressure Sensitive: Advanced Industrial Sensor Technology for Optimal Performance by Ryan Koser

Great grinder for power and hand tools

I've always needed random orbital sanders (wanted one just like this one) as they are much more efficient than built in electric sanders. I had a wood paneling project for a hot tub, a LARGE hot tub that required a lot of sanding. This grinder was just perfect for the job and I'm so glad I'll have it for other projects now. It is also very good for sanding cars when you need to use putty or sand off old paint. I must warn you of one thing. Make sure the air compressor you are using will provide the recommended continuous CFM operation to run this mill. If you're not grinding continuously for more than 5 minutes, you'll have to wait for the compressor to catch up. It's not the mill's fault, they tell you what they need for the air supply and you have to provide it or the mill will run slower and slower until you have to stop and catch up on the compressor. UPDATE 12/08/2013. THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS MILL SPECIFY AN AIR REQUIREMENT OF 8 CFM BUT THIS IS NOT UNDER THE CONSTANT LOAD THAT THE MILL REQUIRES. WHEN I CALL INGERSOLL RAND AND DIG A BIT, I FOUND THAT THIS GRINDER WORKS GREAT DURING THIS GRINDER BUT DOESN'T WORK OPTIMAL WHEN YOU'RE GRINDING CONTINUOUSLY. IF YOU GRIND FOR HOURS, THIS GRINDER REQUIRES A CONSTANT 15.5 CFM AT 90 PSI. THAT'S A LOT OF AIR. ADVISE ONLY.
