I train on a half Ironman and bought this watch two months ago. It's fantastic overall, it far exceeds my expectations and I have no complaints. I started training with a Google WearOS watch that I already had. In theory it can do what I need since you can download applications for almost anything. But there were problems. With each downloaded app, the clock responds even more slowly than usual. It often closed. The touchscreen, which initially seemed so cool to me, turned out to be the worst feature during triathlon training. In water, the touchscreen is 100% unusable. In fact, just water contact with the touchscreen causes it to magically switch from screen to screen or even turn off halfway while swimming. If it's wet and your viewfinder is wet, there's only a 1% chance your touches will register correctly. Impossible to interact with the tiny icons on the tiny screen while running as I bounce as I walk. And if you're traveling with gloves, there's no touch at all. Touch screens for triathlon watches should be avoided. This Garmin does not have a touch screen. You interact with five buttons that work great in the pool, while running, and with gloved hands. The clock is never blocked. He has the ability to be extremely sensitive to your actions every time. The clock is always running. Unlike smartwatches that have to turn off the display to save battery power, this watch is always on. I see the time, date and other indicators all the time. If I activate it with the push of a button, I get a ton of other features. GPS fixes the satellite very quickly and constantly records my actions. The pace is always right. The heart rate sensor is always on (TIP: tightening the strap during exercise will result in a more accurate heart rate). It provides all the biofeedback I need during my training. The included Garmin Connect app offers a wealth of data that you can and will analyze on a daily basis. It tells you how you sleep and how long you stay in which sleeping zones. It tells you how you train - your pace, distance, cadence, heart rate, VO2 and even overtraining - everything you need to know to figure out how to make small adjustments. The synchronization between the watch and the application takes place without any action on your part. You can also chat with friends and view your feed just like on Strava. Garmin Connect is so good I just stopped using Strava. He is no longer needed. The battery lasts insanely long. My Google Watch died on the second day so I had to turn it on every night. This meant no sleep tracking. The maximum time between Garmin charges is 11 days. 11 DAYS! This is madness. Here is the result. This watch is perfect for triathlon training. It's the perfect watch because it just works. And they work every time. If you're training for a triathlon, you'll regret not buying this watch.
