Review on Ziploc Storage Bags Gallon Mega by Laura Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The durability I've relied on for decades and how I reuse it to minimize the use of plastic.

I've relied on freezer-quality Ziploc bags for decades: I cook a lot and have a lot of ingredients and ready meals that I need to freeze without sticking in the freezer: nuts; that last pile of cookie dough that makes 6 cookies FAST when I need them in a hurry; some cooked and frozen beets from Farmers Market last summer to add to my lasagna; breadcrumbs; Trim vegetables for broth; again and again. Here's how I reuse Ziplocs: Once I've used the bag for either type of storage, I attach it to the side of my fridge with a magnetic clip. Into this Ziploc I toss any small, pointed object that might open a hole in my large garbage bags: cat food lids, wine bottle screw tops, aluminum can lids, even used aluminum foil that might tear. When this ziploc bag is full, I seal it and throw it in the trash. As a result, I haven't had a leak in my garbage bags in literally several years. I don't throw anything out of the freezer because of a burn. Anything we can do to minimize the use of plastic helps!
