VERY disappointed. 11 inches thick, I just measured; I can't believe the Royal Hotel's claim that they fit an 18 inch mattress. These sheets just wouldn't stay on the mattress and sometimes came off several times a night. We've had the bed for almost three years now, so we're not laymen when it comes to bed sheets and have pulled the tensioning parts as tight as possible. The rubber band didn't help much to hold them in place. It is not as durable as Sleep Number sheets. Sleep Number sheets also have a 1 inch stretch panel sewn diagonally to the top corners holding the pocket at the top vent. We bought some elastic "Corner Grip" bands to hold them. They worked very well, but the blade soon tore at the base of the split section and was no longer usable. It's like some of the corners were cut at the factory, no pun intended.
