Review on πŸ“˜ Optimized Premiere Pro Art Sketchbook: Durable Hardcover, 4 x 6 inches, 220 Pages by Jessica Lewis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good quality at a great price, a sketchbook that fits in your back pocket.

At 4 x 6 inches, it's only slightly larger than a 3.5 x 5.5 moleskin, but still manages to slip into the back pocket of my jeans or coat pocket, but it won't get out of there fact that it is slightly more due to the extra size and thickness. In terms of portability, I'd say it loses, but hardly, and while it doesn't seem like that much of a difference, I'll say it's more convenient to work on a 4x6-inch page. The main selling point here is the price. , at the time of purchase 5/1/16 it was only $3.37, but even now at $5.99 at 220 pages it's still in a very reasonable range of 2.7 cents per page. Compared to Moleskin, which costs $12.56 for 80 pages. , or 15.7 cents per side. For comparison, the 8.5 x 11 inch sketchbooks I usually use at home cost about 4.8 cents per page. When it comes to sketchbooks, I don't care about looks beyond the standard black hardcover. More important is the paper quality, which is average in both cases. This does not justify the 209% per side premium that Moleskin is charging. I can easily flip 5+ pages a day on the go, and with Moleskin that's 2 books a month or $25.12. Not unreasonable, but compared to $4/month considering I can get through about 70% of one of them in the same amount of time. I'd rather leave $21.12 for something else. If you're the kind of person who can go through multiple pages of your sketchbook a day and you're looking for a good quality sketchbook at a reasonable price that you can put in your pocket and take with you. you are perfect for this A little parting tip for anyone interested in using markers or ink: Pentel Arts Pocket Brush Pen, includes 2 spare black ink cartridges (GFKP3BPA), perfect for travel, love mine. Try using a piece of thin cardboard, e.g. a notebook cover, or a cereal box, etc., cut it to size and place it behind the page you intend to use it on. It's thick enough to stop bleeding through the second or third page. Good luck with your sketches.
