UPDATE: I've had them installed for a couple of weeks and am still very happy. I recently added a Lutron Caseta Smart Dimmer to control six of these lights in my kitchen. I'm happy to report that these bulbs work great - no hum, buzz or flicker. Ideal. Lutron Caseta has a list of bulbs approved for use with Caseta and they are not on the list but I can confirm they work great in my case. There are so many options in this lighting category that it's hard to decide. This product had good reviews and the price was right so I decided to give it a try. I just received the product and immediately started installing it. This is a fairly simple and straightforward process. Flashlights come with two different types of attachments: clip-on and spring-loaded. Your existing lenses will determine which type you need to use. Mine uses a spring type which means I had to remove the clamps and install a spring type. Replacing a lamp with a screwdriver takes two to three minutes. never mind Once the clamps are mounted, simply connect the supplied adapter with an E26 thread, connect it to the light and insert it into the recess. The springs are very stiff and I found it easier to snap one side at a time. Very easy installation. A few notes. These lights fit in both 5" and 6" mounting boxes. Nozzles can be adjusted to any size. The lens/bulb size of this lamp is approximately four inches and the rest of the lamp is completely cropped making it look much smaller and slimmer than the original lamp. I think it adds a more modern look. The finish is actually metallic, which is nice. Many of them are made of plastic, which can fade and yellow over time. I like that they are metal as they feel more premium compared to plastic. Kelvin color can be adjusted using the switch on top of each light source. This is a really useful feature as it's difficult to know exactly what color works best for your location. I tried all the settings BEFORE putting the light in the niche, otherwise it will be a bit difficult to access. It's not something you're likely to change often, but it's nice to know you can. If you want to control this remotely, you'll have to spend four times as much on a smart lightbulb. In this case there is no need. All in all a great product at a great price. Fast shipping as always with Prime. Can't comment on durability since they're new, but I expect they'll do the job.
