Works but is easier to modify

I found a vintage Eames rocker at my local drug store for $200 and was pleased but a bit concerned about the condition of the leather on the armrests, seat and the footrest. Immediately I started looking for a homemade version of how to repair leather (sit in it so no one else can buy it!), found leather conditioner and paint and decided to give it a try. I used the conditioner on everything and it helped right away, but once it dried the white cracks reappeared. So I mixed these colors and got a pretty close match. I smeared it over the ugly stains on my hands, then put some conditioner on a rag and rubbed it all in. Just fade the color a bit. For the seat and footrest, I mixed the conditioner with color and applied it all over. It helped a lot, balancing the color and blending everything together. Then when it was dry I applied some more leather conditioner and buffed it to bring back some of the natural shine. This solution isn't perfect, but I'm thrilled with the results and my 'new' vintage chair! πŸ₯°
