I want it! Was excited to have a teenage small stress bike. Seen lost models for sale have reviews that I understood would be a gamble; this one seemed the most promising. But a semi-successful application requires some troubleshooting (and I haven't really had any success with that yet!), so I didn't really find it comfortable. First, it will cause a huge mess. As with any potter's wheel, you need wet hands to reduce friction on the clay - and this is far more important here as any friction will slow/stop the wheel. Soft, wet tone at top speed is the only way to keep going. But that would mean that dirt is flying everywhere So get ready! The first time I used it I wasn't and it was a big cleanup. Then after much searching I added a homemade fender (a plastic dome made out of a cupcake) which almost solved this problem and really reduced the mess. But even then, I continued to struggle with the speed/friction issue. It's difficult to change the speed manually when you're also working with the clay with your hands, so I think you basically just have to keep it at full speed. Eventually I made a small bowl, but as soon as I took my hands away to slow down, it sped up and the bowl collapsed. Pity! I'll probably try a few more times but it's a lot less fun and a lot more frustrating than I was hoping. I would not recommend it for a beginner.
