Support update. Apparently the problem is not due to a defective camera. Blue Iris works great with this camera when "reolink RLC-410" is selected. But this camera was configured as generic ONVIF in Blue Iris. In this mode, decoding errors result in video artifacts. When I changed the camera type from Universal to Reolink, the symptom no longer appeared. Thank you for the good email support from the provider. For Blue Iris users, choose MPG4 instead of MPG5 for Blue Iris compatibility and choose Reolink RLC-410 as camera type. Now I have four Reolink cameras, three RLC-410-5MP and one RLC-411S. I am happy with everyone. =-=-=-I used to be happy with this camera. I have three RLC-410-5MP plus one of the previous 4MP models. Both of my 410s are working fine. Unfortunately, the third one I bought is consistently faulty. About 20 times a day I get rectangles at the bottom of the picture with distorted vertical lines. The seller asks me to look at the camera's webpage to see it in action. ?!?!?!? How can I spend my day looking at the camera website? There are VCRs for that. So far I am having trouble solving this problem. I hope they pass. Obviously this is a bad block. (A photo showing the error has been uploaded.) =-=-=- Previous review below before I received the 3rd (defective) unit -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Me am very happy with it camera. I have 3 of these at home, as well as a small number of GW, Dahua, Hik and other Reolinks. These new 5MP Reolink cameras seem to be pretty good. Images are relatively sharp. The camera is able to achieve a decent bit rate. I usually get 2-5Mbps at the highest camera resolution at 10fps. I do not use any of the memory or motion activation features on these cameras. I run them all from Blue Iris on Core i7 with nVidia graphics. I highly recommend this combination. But apart from the NVR, as a slave to a really good NVR like the Blue Iris, this camera compares very well to other similar devices for the price. It looks like the 5MP Reolink came out a bit earlier than most of its competitors. (Although I see now that there is also an 8MP camera on the market! Must try and capture the pirate license plates on the porch!)
