While I still give this keyring five stars for many good qualities, there are a few things I don't like about it. The door open and close icons don't look that sharp. Also, this keychain has four tiny gem-sized screws that hold it together. It comes with a small jeweler's Phillips screwdriver to assemble the two parts of the keychain around the key ring. Here lies the other problem. You must keep this gem or screwdriver in your screwdriver box because when you need to change the battery you have to remove four screws to open this thing. But I think it's all a small price to pay for the fact that this key fob keeps one of our two original X5 key fobs clean and pristine. We can now also distinguish them much more easily. Once the keychain is installed, the keychain expands in size, which I think is a good thing. Not for carrying in your pocket, just harder to lose because it's bigger. I love the sporty stripes on the back. What I love most about this keychain is the metal finish. And yes, the metal part of the case is metal. In general, I was very impressed with it, with the exception of a few flaws. But they far outweigh any positive aspects of this cave keychain. I definitely recommend it.
