Good thing I would give five stars because these blue jars are good value for money, perfect size for my use. The blue color is beautiful and protects contents from UV damage. Good for short term storage or items that are not perishable or will be used fairly soon. Bad: Not airtight or watertight. If you choose them for the UV protection they offer, your items can be affected by air leaks before they are affected by UV light, so UV protection doesn't make much sense. I pour water in to see if they keep my herbs fresh and they leak a little. I was surprised that the foam disk in the lid couldn't seal tight enough to keep it watertight even with hard spinning.
