NOT APPROVED BY AIRLINES

We bought this for our small dog. It fits perfectly in a pocket. However, when we called the airline (American Airlines) to verify this, they told us that the bag was too big for the intended purpose. So why does it say "airline approved"? It is not. It's like saying my mustache wax keeps bears away. real lie
