So here I have a review for those who take customer reviews as the 'Bible'. Firstly, some people who bought this device did NOT read the instructions before starting work. It's crystal clear and for those who left 5 or 4 stars and told me to read the instructions, you are a true MVP! With all this you warm up your car. It gets hot quickly, but that's okay. Leave it on for 2 or 3 minutes to ensure your popcorn is perfect. Turn it off when you're ready to load the popcorn maker with beans. If you use the red cap to refill, LINE IS YOUR FRIEND! There is a line that indicates approximately 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels. DO NOT use more. That's why your popcorn burns. I made the mistake of turning on that line indicator and yes my car was smoking and my popcorn was on fire. No big deal because after this tweak and using fewer kernels, my popcorn came out perfect with very few unopened kernels and zero burns. This was enough to fill a large plastic mixing bowl. As for the noise, it's a little loud, like a hair dryer. It circulates the air, so what do you expect? Rschunimagu. This noise was hardly off-putting or annoying as it actually took 4 minutes maximum to "deal with" it, including the time spent heating up your popcorn maker. For $14, I'm certainly not complaining. I spent $2 on a large packet of white kernels. The instructions clearly state that white and yellow pop are different and one should try different brands to see what works best. So if you find that yellow doesn't suit you, try white and vice versa. I have the Jolly Time brand if that helps. Also, let me say to those who have problems with popcorn popping out, use a tall popcorn bag or those new plastic popcorn boxes. This is what I plan to do as the bowl I had was too low for the ignition part and I had a few overshoots but not many. Again, not enough to annoy me. This product comes highly recommended if you are looking for a good popcorn maker at a reasonable price.
