Very nice. I'm a retired engineer. I know how to draw technical drawings both freehand and CAD, but I decided to try my hand at art. This little set seems just right for people like me. It includes all the graphite pencils recommended by my course, as well as charcoal and graphite pencils. Matching sharpeners and erasers are also available. The whole package is much cheaper than just buying the graphite pencils individually. The pencils seem to be of reasonable quality although I'm just starting out. I really have nothing to compare other than #2 pencils. I read complaints about the body. True, this is more of a molded plastic shipping case for protecting pens during transit than a case for everyday use. It would be nice if someone travels with you, but probably not practical for everyday use. The portable easel I use has a pencil drawer so I don't need a case. Buy a pencil case for a few dollars at the dollar store or Wal-Mart, line it with foam rubber or paper towels if you want something better. Forget the occasion, the kit is a bargain.
