Review on Sony Full Frame Large Aperture Ultra Wide Angle by Tim Wheeler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

10/10 Perfect autofocus, small, light, sharp at f/1.8, soft bokeh, no CA, nice to have an aperture wheel.

If you're looking for a fast, wide-angle prime lens for the Sony FE and are on a budget, look no further. I am very happy with this lens. It's small and light. It looks solidly built. The optics are as perfect as they can be in this 2020 year. There is no chromatic aberration on my a7iii with Capture One Pro 12. Shooting Stars I can see a SMALL portion of HA, but not enough to bother me in the slightest. .Autofocus is fast and accurate, basically perfect for photos and videos on my a7iii. Focus transitions are fluid, the focus hardly breathes. membrane disc. It's really nice to have. I accidentally bumped it up from f/1.8 to f/2 or f/2.5 in my lens case and it messed up a shot or two, but it's a quick fix if you're careful and you can always set it to A and it control from the camera. If he's on A, he's fixed and not going anywhere. I like him. The excitement around this lens is real. Sony kicked it out of Imo Park. I was looking for a wide-angle prime lens but didn't want to spend the money on a 24 1.4 GM. I am very happy with my 20mm. 10/10 Thank you Sony.
