I bought this for routine cleaning and removal of common kitchen stains, stovetop grease stains and the occasional stain I find on painted walls. This works just as well as the magic eraser, although it's definitely thicker than the magic eraser and a bit harder to wring out water. One sponge lasted a little over two weeks of constant brushing as I attempted to replace most of my cleaning tools with it. I use it to remove most stains, although for stovetop and darker stains I prefer an all-purpose spray and kitchen towel. The fabric lasts longer, leaves no waste and leaves a dirty sponge at the end and is easier to keep clean as long as the sponge has a dark coating. Nothing compares to any stains on the wall.
