Review on SHIMANO 2 Finger Mountain Bicycle V Brake by Kevin Grizzle

I installed a SHIMANO Deore BL-T610 left brake lever on my MTB. I installed a new 1x connecting rod, so removed the old brake/shift combination and installed a BL-T610. It looks good and works well. Excellent Shimano quality again. The BL-T610 I use is painted black. It wasn't boxed by Shimano, I believe it's a new OEM part. These brake levers are two-finger levers, meaning they can only be operated with two fingers, not all four. They can be used for both linear brakes (V-brakes) and mechanical disc brakes. The BL-T610 is I-Spec B. This may come in handy when paired with a shifter, or may confuse you like many of us. The lever comes with a 22.2mm open tension strap. You can adjust the brake line tension with a barrel spacer. Installation was easy. The lever locks securely in place and I had no trouble shifting or moving it on the handlebars. I found it convenient and easy to use. If I decide to upgrade my transmission I will definitely be buying another BL-T610 for the right brake. EDIT: 3/25/20 - I bought a BL-T610 right hand brake lever and it fits the left one perfectly. The set looks great and works. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
