In my opinion, most of the bad reviews about these devices relate to the time when you had to pay to activate the features of the application. Other reviews are just from people who don't understand OBII or how it basically works. This imo app is awesome 1st. I'm a used car dealer. I need a quick OBII that is accurate and can do a basic scan of the entire car to ensure the car can skip emissions and check for trouble codes or pending codes when the test engine is not running. It does this and much more. Another important aspect is that I need something small to carry the auctions around with me. Carrying around even a small wired OBDII is exhausting. It's perfect, it fits in my front pocket and on rainy days I just slip it into a waterproof armband. Today I scanned about 50 Nissan Maximas / Altimas / Quests / Muranos / Toyota Siennas and Prius Hondaaccords, Civics, Odysseys, BMW 3 Series 335 and 325, Porsche Boxster, VW Passats, Jetta, Bugs/Audi A4/Acura RSX and TL. Basically it scanned every car I needed. Now the advanced features will not work on some vehicles but it is expected that most handheld scanners will not be able to perform certain advanced features unless you have a scanner specifically designed for Euro vehicles. And here I see a lot of complaints about this device. This scanner can do many things, clear codes, read emission readiness and it's accurate, it rivals my 400 scanner and whatever it reads registers. Aside from noticing with this bad boy that I can see when the last codes were cleared on the vehicle so I can weed out the dealer cars who are re-codes their troubled kids cars when they come up for auction. Imo this device is good value **UPDATE*** It's been 5 months now and this little device has become my best friend. He goes to 4 auctions a week and probably scans at least 50 cars per auction. It has never been faulty or wrong. It's also amazing when a car scanning a car in front of a potential customer takes car sales to a whole new level, they can see car readiness monitors. So I have the 2nd batch for sale right now. I really like this article and the speed of the autoscan. I can scan an almost auctioned car if needed for the cars that are just showing up that you have never seen parked at an auction. Also for fun I scanned a Maserati and it worked. Scans Mercedes C class. I'm pretty sure it will do a basic scan of any car with an OBDII port by this point.
