Review on Dorman 712-345M Wheel Nut M12-1.50 Racing Style for Various Models, Pack of 20 by Anthony Arcos

So, the anti-corrosion coating for 5 years is written on the packaging. But I just received it and there's already rust on the threads inside. So I really doubt they will last the full 5 years as they expire. The thread quality is also questionable for some. I had to tap the threads with the right size hardened screw and ARP thread cleaner to smooth out some of the roughness. They were also filled with cutting fluid. Is that your anti-rust idea? Hats are a whole different story. Coarse threads, very oily and 1 had an unusable rubber o-ring which was smashed by fitting wherever they were made. I'm happy with how they look on my new wheels. But it is suspect that they will really linger. It would be nice if they gave real torque even for small caps. I'll seal them tight, but I'm wondering if all the oil that gets on them will cancel out all together. I spent quite a bit of time inspecting them and cleaning them of oil. They seem cool but I have a feeling they were made somewhere where workers are probably being paid a dollar a day as the overall quality is questionable. I expected better quality from a well-known brand like Dorman. So if you're adventurous and want to take the extra time removing oil from rough carvings, go for it. I will update this review as I use it and live longer.
