Great camera for the price!

I bought this camera because I teach courses etc. on the Internet. The camera built into my laptop isn't great, but it's perfectly adequate for my needs, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but the angle I was able to view from comfortably wasn't flattering. Although I have a camera, it fits perfectly on my desk in my office for my next meeting. I love that I can choose to move into the living room and take it with me. She figured it out as soon as I plugged it in without having to turn off the camera on my laptop and I can still switch to it if needed. It sits perfectly on the laptop screen while the camera itself can be tilted up or down. Also included is a tripod. The camera cover is comfortable and durable. The camera mount is taped to the shelf on a flat surface behind/above my laptop, allowing me to open and close the lid without changing my view. A piece of tape that I can easily remove so I wouldn't call it "installed" but the lid opens and closes easily without having to tape it to keep the same look. Much better than the slider I got for the laptop webcam. The only downside (but definitely not a big one) is that I can't zoom in or out with the webcam. If there is a way, I didn't get it. I couldn't take pictures with my laptop camera so it might be unusual anyway. Because of the way my desk is set up, my laptop reclines and the camera is over a foot away. The webcam is now 3-4 inches taller and 2 inches wider. It would be nice to zoom in a bit and not show so much space behind me. It's not like I want to be seen up close, so I really can't, that's okay too. The mic wasn't as good as my laptop due to the distance, but that doesn't matter since I use a headset with a mic in classes and meetings anyway and don't use either of those. In any case, this camera is worth its price. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by options when I'm looking for things like this but it was easy to buy because I looked for the price as I didn't need it while being careful not to get anything worse than what I already had, or because of that. not working for a long time, etc. Here he is in great balance. I've never bought a webcam so can't really compare them but I'm happy with what I got for what I paid. It's an upgrade for something that didn't end up needing to be replaced. It appears to be well built and looks like it will last a long time too.

Pros
  • 1080P FULL HD WEBCAM: The 1920*1080 Full HD Streaming Webcam uses a CMOS image sensor to integrate color noise reduction circuitry to produce a stable image at 30 frames per second. The 4-layer anti-reflective lens ensures a clear image and video.
Cons
  • Slightly dented
