This kit contains several types/colors of moss, a moss mat and some terrarium mulch, totaling 4 oz. I use it in hanging glass spheres to create fairytale micro gardens and it helps a bit. I have already made 4 different globes and there is still more than 1/2 of the box left. This is very easy to work with. I suggest small scissors to trim what you need, but feel free to snap off the pieces you need for a more natural look. When working with globes you will need something like chopsticks or long tweezers designed for terrarium gardening. You can also improvise with items you have at home or in the kitchen. This is a great starter kit and I highly recommend it!
