Works better than the cord that came with the car vacuum which melted after an hour of use! TWICE! But not only does this cord NOT overheat under heavy use, it also keeps the vacuum cleaner running more efficiently than the cord that comes with the vacuum cleaner. The voltage is equal or relatively in equal amperes. It's thick and well made! Does not draw power from the vehicle battery. I didn't have any working car peripherals at the time, but I'm confident that I was able to power up the car's dash, subwoofer, and aftermarket amp with this cable. I highly recommend it!
