This is indeed a G9 as advertised. However, the base is too thick to fit in the nest. These bulbs are also much longer than the G9 halogen bulbs. If they matched my ceiling light, they would look very odd (although I could live with that). I had a box ready to donate to charity, so I included a packet of these flower bulbs with the donation.
