I needed a much larger grease trap for the dinner I wanted. This separator is a good size. I could easily see the fat coming off. I could easily see how all the fat that dripped out of the pan stayed in the cup. When I'm making gravy, I'm usually too tired to play a guessing game about whether or not there's fat. cup or spout. I appreciate the ease I have with this product. I'm glad I found this product before I made dinner.
