Adjusting the lag wasn't a problem for me. These are the shorter shots where I tend to arch or miss to one side most of the time. The lines on the mat and exercises designed by Dave really help reinforce proper alignment. I also prefer not to crawl into a real hole to work on the remote control. It's better to watch the ball roll and still stay on the mat. On the other hand, the underside of the carpet sticks to my smooth wooden floor. My last mat tended to slip. I highly recommend this mat from Dave Pelz.
