Review on Hunter Haskell Low Profile Ceiling Fan with LED Light and Pull Chain Control, 42 Inches, Brushed Nickel by Amanda Lemons

The fan works great and is very quiet, the big downside in hindsight is the lighting kit. The fan worked fine for about three years then the lightbulbs stopped working assuming the incandescent bulbs stopped working even though the product description said LED lightbulbs. Bought new chandelier type LED bulbs and installed unsuccessfully, tested the bulbs in a different working light and they worked fine. I assumed that either the bulb was shorted or the headlight kit switch was faulty. I ordered what I believe is the correct replacement kit at a reasonable price, but after a month of waiting the seller still shows the kit reversed. After removing the light assembly and unplugging the wiring harness etc to troubleshoot, it turned out that the outlet and light switch worked fine. Found some crappy power limiter # Y59 B 120C B04* 6021 was out of order, removed power limiter and connected the wires, now the LEDs work fine. This appears to be a very aggravating design, costing the buyer more money than the cost of repairing the fan if the buyer has to call a device repairman. So much for the green energy savings of simply throwing away the fan and buying another.
