Hunter Haskell Low Profile Ceiling Fan with LED Light and Pull Chain Control, 42 Inches, Brushed Nickel Review

. Bought for my new solarium (see photo). Wall switch with dimmer for separate light and fan, I'm quite happy with that. However, my installer had to use some handyman magic to get it all done (a few extra parts, wiring and switches not included). Trips into homeowner's hell before you have a working fan set up exactly how you really want it.

I bought this fan for the bedroom in my house. This is the second fan of this type that I have bought this year. As you can see in pictures 2 and 3, the black plastic lamp housing is rubbed by the fan speed control loop. Over time this will fail as the plastic gets cut through and who knows what will happen then. I bought the same fan for a dust bag about 6 months ago and the gap was ok because the black lamp housing was smaller as Hunter was a smaller size. Type of lamp and housing as shown in

I bought this for my son's bedroom to replace a Harbor Breeze fan that never worked properly. The first came and had a broken glass bowl. Revain quickly replaced it and the next came flawlessly. This time my son helped with the installation. it was pretty straight forward. We were able to complete it in under an hour. as soon as we turned it on, there was a definite difference in sound and air movement compared to its predecessor. I am giving it one star because it was a pleasure working with Hunter's customer service and the fan ball arrived in perfect condition. However, I was very disappointed that I installed this beautiful fan, followed the instructions to the letter "T" and then nothing. The light came on, but the fan blades didn't spin. I bought two of these fans for my guest rooms. Disappointed are the blades made of lightweight plastic that feels cheap. Other Hunter fans I have have blades that are strong and heavy. The first fan installed without any problems, worked very quietly and without vibration. The second fan vibrates. I went through the installation, I didn't find any problems. The fan works great and is very quiet, the big downside in hindsight is the lighting kit. The fan worked fine for about three years then the lightbulbs stopped working assuming the incandescent bulbs stopped working even though the product description said LED lightbulbs. Bought new chandelier type LED bulbs and installed unsuccessfully, tested the bulbs in a different working light and they worked fine. This ceiling fan looks very nice and works well BUT there is a design flaw that the motor housing does not fit snugly to the ceiling. The mounting bracket is equipped with 4 rubber isolation mounts that are in contact with the ceiling to dampen vibration. The problem is that these rubber grommets are too thick and therefore push the mounting bracket too far away from the ceiling for the cover to fit snugly against the ceiling. Comment: I've never installed a ceiling fan before. Measure twice, buy once. This fan has a lower profile so it fits well in my home office. The fan isn't too wide so it's suitable for a medium sized room like this. It won't look good in a large room or living room. The fan is so quiet and beautiful after installation. I would definitely buy another one. Packaging: Packaging and instructions were sufficient. Appearance: Looks very nice with chrome finish and wood grain blades. Very classic look
