After many years of using an iPad, I made the conscious decision to purchase a tablet manufactured by Xiaomi. I won't say that the tablet dissatisfied me, but I also won't say that it surprised me. The miui operating system is still the same ugly muck; however, the screen and sound are not terrible; the powerful percentage and 6GB of RAM give hope that the software will either finish or come out with usable custom firmware before the device becomes obsolete. Those of you who are searching for a device that can replace the iPad in terms of the fluidity of the animations and the comprehensiveness of the software, you are most certainly not in the right place. The only advantage it has over even the most basic model of the iPad is the capability to install applications from any source, not just the Apple App Store. This is the only advantage it has.
