things you should know.

This thing definitely speeds things up, just used it to fit about 100 different sized handles on a range of doors and drawers which is a typical size project for us. However, you must be careful. The included 5 mm drill works perfectly. The flutes of the drill will clog when drilling hardwoods like maple, so be sure to pull the drill out to clean the flutes before drilling and you won't have any chipping. It will scratch the case unless you glue it, which looks ridiculous. Some thin rubber pads on the surfaces that come in contact with the cabinets would really make this thing that much safer to use. The center hole is nice and definitely makes it easier to use by marking the center lines for the drawers, which is the quickest way. many boxes of the same height but different widths. However, if the lines were extended along the sides/edges until they touch the surface of the drawer or door, I wouldn't have to look down the center hole when aligning. Also don't forget to check the thumbscrews often, a couple of times one of these came loose while I was drilling which was a bit scary but not a disaster as it could be, just reloaded and everything was fine it's a bit crazy what such a price it comes in a box which I will get rid of and make/find better as you can't put it back in the box without changing the settings of a lot of the body hardware.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I'll write back later
