I have a project that caused my Raspberry PI 3B+ to overheat and shut down. I already have heatsinks on the main ICs so I bought this fan cap to stay cool. I also have a GPIO board that I installed on top of this board to connect the digital I/Os. The fan worked great and kept the CPU temperature within acceptable limits. Since then there have been no more problems with overheating. And all the GPIOs went through my other folded board with no issues. I had no need/use of LEDs as my goal was to keep the power consumption of the whole device as low as possible. So it's nice to be able to disable the LEDs with a switch for those who don't need/want them as a special feature.
