I bought this girth for a mare who always had trouble fitting the saddle. She has low withers and the saddles slide from side to side. In conjunction with a slightly non-slip saddle pad, this girth solves the problem of saddle slippage for the first time! A bib or sacrum is not used. I am very happy that I can safely ride this horse. I am happy with the quality of the girth and have found that the buckles twist easily and allow me to saddle a restless horse faster. The horses seem to be enjoying themselves. I haven't cleaned it yet so I don't know how easy it will be.
