does what it should; Need to remove the cover from the AC probes

I basically got this for the voltmeter feature because my old one was gone. Love the fact that it has a rechargeable battery so I no longer have to buy the random coin sized battery my old one used to use. The display is bright and the numbers are easy to read. Unfortunately I don't have any diodes or capacitors to test this functionality. The electromagnetic field detector appears to be working, but I have no way of determining its accuracy or the level of the readings. About 30 feet of wire connecting the connectors to the ends of the probe is sufficient for my purposes. The wires look like they have shorter probes than in the photo, but they have a cap that only exposes the tip. To use them to test AC plugs, you must remove them to expose the full length of the probe. However, the odd thing is that when these caps are removed, the plastic base of the wire turns the opposite color of the probe (see image above). This is a bit confusing because now the red probe appears black and vice versa. It's an interesting design choice if you ask me, and not a particularly good one. I would prefer everything to be black or red. This isn't a serious issue, but it can get confusing if you're not careful. The multimeter comes with a protective plastic case that must be removed to charge the device. This seemed like an inconvenience at first, but upon further reflection I think it's a good idea as it prevents dirt from building up in the USB-C charging port. It's made of flexible plastic and will probably protect it from scratches, but I'm not sure how well it protects from falls. You also get a zippered case that contains the multimeter, sensors, charging cable, and instruction manual. The tote bag lid has a mesh over the top half of the lid that will hold everything if you place it correctly. Unfortunately, the grid is arranged vertically along the long axis rather than horizontally along the short axis, which I think keeps things in place better. Still, it's better than no case or mesh at all.
