The CPSC certification cannot be verified. I'm not sure if this will protect you in the event of an accident.

This helmet seems pretty solid. I'm wondering if I'll keep it because 1. I don't see a CPSC certificate or proof of it so I assume he doesn't have one if I don't see proof. Is an ASTM certificate sufficient? Do I trust this manufacturer?2. Slightly tight on the sides of the head. The rest seems ok. I have size XL. This helmet has an ASTM certification label inside the helmet, but this is self-validation. I can build my own helmet out of almost anything and say it's ASTM certified without having to show anyone any proof. The only important safety standard is CPSC, which is tested and certified by a government-sponsored laboratory not affiliated with the helmet manufacturer. The helmet I received DOES NOT HAVE "CPSC CERTIFICATION" ON THE INSIDE OF THE HELMET. That doesn't mean it's not CPSC certified, but I don't know how to verify that. Maybe there is a link on the CPSC page to check if the helmet is CPSC tested?
