We use it for veneer
My husband made pull out shelves for our 10 year old closets that we bought before the pandemic. He applied the veneer to the hand cutouts, which are the arcuate cutouts on the front of the drawers. Our regular iron wasn't very efficient, so I took it. It is well suited for edging our new drawers. Works like a champ. It heats up enough to activate the glue. I did not use it for its intended purpose in quilting or sewing.
