I put 2 bikes on my Saris rack when I mount it on my cars. Toyota, Chrysler. The original sari's iron hooks don't fit well and too tightly on my Chrysler's uncomfortably sloping tailgate. Huggers ensure a straight, safe and soft landing that latches under the Chrysler tailgate when closed. And it's an easier way to manage the secure bike rack when I put my 2 bikes on the Saris Trunk Rack. This is my second sentence. I bought it a few years ago, have been using it with pleasure for many years. For me, this is a must for my bike racks.
