The night I got the book, I decided to sign up for an account. There was a problem with registering and logging in. Using a computer, I signed up for a new account and logged in. I decided to email Amazon about the issue, so I explained what happened, including the book's serial number, etc. They responded that my book had been flagged as "stolen or lost" (stolen or lost) in their system and that I should send it back to the original seller. I should have saved a screenshot of our e-mail exchanges. Amazon declined my request to refund the whole purchase price (an unscrupulous vendor certainly operated here), and the seller largely disregarded my inquiry. If you are selling damaged or stolen merchandise, please let your customers know so they can request a refund or exchange. I paid full pay for the book, so I know it works perfectly. Since I bought it for $13,000 (a substantial sum at the time), and it now costs $19,000, I had no choice but to keep everything as it was.
