Review on 🎨 Enhance Your Craft Projects with Hampton Art Basics Embossing Collection by Shantel Griffin

Good but not great. Still a good buy for a beginner!

I bought this set when I decided to use thermal stamping in my paper designs. Some of these colors are better than others. All are very nice colors but some pigments do not melt well and disperse poorly when heated. I think it has more to do with the different substances used in each pigment than the brand itself, but I wasn't trying to compare expensive embossing powders. Metal pigments melt most evenly. There is green metallic, as well as copper, gold and silver. I tried the yellow on a magenta piece of cardboard and it definitely came out quite transparent. Light blue has added white to the pigment, which is very noticeable after heating when used on a dark background. I've added some photos to this review to illustrate some of the pigments as well as the labels I made for all the bottles. Cardboard - Memories. I used the 2-pack Ranger Perfect Pens Set, clear for all designs, and the 320W Darice Embossing Multipurpose Thermal Tool to melt the pigment. Overall I am very happy with this set. I think maybe the blue pigments just need a different sticking medium to melt more evenly. I'm new to hot stamping so keep that in mind when looking at my samples!
