Now I have them installed on my laptops and phone. They hold up well and haven't fallen off after a few months of use. They're small enough to be unobtrusive, but still offer a full view of the camera when open. That on the phone didn't come off either, although the phone was often stuffed into jeans pockets. I think it's mainly because my phone's cover protrudes 1mm, which also prevents the camera cover from falling off. The lid also opens and closes smoothly and stays in place.
